Football NS is seeking a reliable and organized part-time Field Monitor to oversee the smooth operations of our flag football league games. The Field Monitor will ensure that all games run as scheduled, maintain the quality and safety of the fields, and act as the primary point of contact for resolving issues during game times. This role is critical to delivering an excellent experience for players, officials, and spectators.
Key Responsibilities
● Field Operations:
○ Monitor and maintain the condition of the fields throughout game sessions.
○ Ensure all games start and end on time and are executed as planned. ● Communication & Problem-Solving:
○ Serve as the on-site liaison between the league, officials, teams, and the Program Coordinator.
○ Promptly report any issues, incidents, or concerns to the Program Coordinator.
● Game Oversight:
○ Verify that all referees are present and assigned to games as scheduled.
○ Collect and securely store all game cards at the end of each session. ○ Maintain a log of all referees who officiated games during the day. Qualifications
● Availability to work evenings (5:00 PM - 11:00 PM) and weekends (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM).
● Strong organizational and communication skills.
● Ability to manage and resolve issues effectively in a fast-paced environment.
● Must complete a Technical 1 Clinic or Refresher Clinic for officiating in the league.
○ Proof of prior completion of a Technical 1 Clinic will be accepted in place of the refresher. Preferred Skills & Experience
● Experience in sports officiating or game-day operations is a plus.
● Familiarity with flag football rules and procedures.

Term: Ten (10) weeks - April 11 to June 22, 2025 - Approx. Fifteen (15) to twenty (20) hours per week Schedule: Weekday evenings (5:00 PM - 11:00 PM) and weekends (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Physical Requirements
● Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
● Ability to lift and carry light equipment as needed.
